Vacuum Packed Frozen

These products are best prepared to be served by immersion heating.  Bring a pot of water to a boil that is large enough to hold the food item and at least the same volume of water.  Turn off the heat and place the package in the water.  Give the food at least 10 minutes per pound to come to serving temp.

If using the microwave, use the normal mode, not defrost, heat for 1 minute per 6 oz.   Repeat using 30 second intervals until the food item is at the serving temperature.

Vacuum Packed Refrigerated

These products are best prepared either immersion heating or microwave heating. Bring a pot of water to a boil that is large enough to hold the food item and at least the same volume of water.  Turn off the heat and place the package in the water.  Give the food at least 5 minutes per pound to come to serving temp. 

To microwave heat - set the time to 30 seconds per 6 oz.  Repeat this in 30 second increments until the item reaches serving temperature.

  • Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave.
  • Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry.
  • Cook thoroughly.
  • Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
